I use this unit in my bedroom, and i have a PS3 in my living room. I honestly like it much more than the PS3 for streaming. The only reason i don't switch them out is because the PS3 plays DVD's. The Roku3 works smoothly and flawlessly. The search feature is great, because it seeks titles in multiple channels right from the home screen instead of having to go into each channel individually and search. So convenient. Great job, Roku. The only thing they could work to improve is the size. It would be perfect if it was sized like the Chromecast and could be plugged into and powered by the HDMI output on your television. I would take my Roku everywhere if i could just pop it off my tv and toss it in my pocket. Price of the Chromecast is $35, and as Google improves the Chromecast's features, Roku will have to come down in price to compete. It's reasonably priced for new tech, but the competitors are stepping their game up. A cool feature Roku could add is folders to put your channels in. There are multiple channels for most genres (news, horror, comedy, etc) and it would be awesome if you could group the channels accordingly. All that said, the Roku3 is a killer little unit and i'm really happy with it.

Good but missing some BIG PIECES

I wanted a device I could hook up to my tv that would allow me to stop having to plug in my laptop everytime I wanted to do something. I also wanted it to be able to stream my spotify account. it does this pretty well. However, I do notice that the device starts to slow down after use (the menu starts getting sluggish and laggy). And one of my BIGGEST things is that I wish I could send the screen of my laptop to the roku so I wouldn't need to plug in my laptop via HDMI. Sometimes I want to share my browser or a video that Roku doesn't support (ahem YouTube).
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: No Screen Sharing, No Miracast, Slows Down

An amazing device, worth every penny

My first gen Roku stopped getting used when I got my HDTV so I felt it was time for an upgrade, and what an upgrade! The menus are much improved, the search feature works great (and the Android app allows me to use the keyboard on my phone or tablet to input search terms). The headphone port on the remote works great and is really cool as well.
Pros: Search Much Impoved, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Fast Setup

Often Locks Up......

I use this product often to view movies. Product is small and easy to understand controls. Roku 3 often locks up and needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to reconnect signal. Very annoying. It also looses signal from remote to often.

Cons: Often Freezes Up

I use it at home, and watch Netflix. It's great to stream when you have an account for any provider applicable to the device.
