The Roku 3 is fast, easy to set up, and offers a lot of popular channels to choose from. The speed difference from previous Roku models is very noticeable. For a basic movie streaming device, the Roku 3 offers quick launching of channels, fast movie/TV show streaming, and is cost effective where you can eliminate cable and satellite premium channel packages to reduce your monthly service cost. I highly recommend the Roku 3!

Works pretty seamlessly so far. Great selection of channels. Only two downside are: 1) no YouTube, and 2) when switching to another Roku, the "resume" position is lost (resumes from last position on THAT PARTICULAR Roku devise).

Streaming from my Blu-ray was not working out. Even when I hard wired it with an eathernet I would still lose the signal. Did some research and bought the Roku 3. Easy to set up and it is super fast. Have not lost the wifi signal once. Great product.

I use it mostly for Netflix and Plex, but there are other decent channels to pick from. Most of them are garbage, being very special interest or just have very limited content. The interface is responsive and pleasing to look at and streaming works perfectly over wifi. For me, Netflix replaces cable TV, so even if I put a Roku in every room in the house, I'd break even in less than a year. It's just an exceptional value. I prefer the Roku3 over the Chromcast. The browsing experience is better on the Roku, but searching (as well as anything involving typing) is much easier through the Chromecast UNTIL you get the Roku app. Get the Roku app for typing search terms and signing into accounts.

Tons of channels

Although I have a wired connection available I decided to try the wireless and boy was I pleased. Steamed HD perfectly ! Just have to find the time to go thru all the channels.
