This new version is unusable for me as I cannot output things like Pandora to Zone 2 of my receiver. All receivers require an analog input for zone 2.

I have a Samsung TV that is supposed to be internet compatible but I had all kinds of trouble streaming, to the point it was intolerable. Bought a Roku3 and now the streaming experience is flawless and it changed our media experience. It's easy to set up, use, and to manage. Couldn't be more pleased.

Love it, but still buggy at times

This is a wonderful upgrade from the earlier Roku devices. The device is much smoother and navigation is much faster. Apps load pretty quickly. Very nice having a headphone jack on the remote so that you can listen to the TV without bothering those around you. Challenges with the device: battery life on the remote is poor - have to replace rather frequently since the remote is checking for signal with the device so much. For some reason, after finishing a show, the apps typically freeze (common across all apps, so must be Roku software issue) and you have to go back to the main screen or restart the Roku. Sometimes the device just freezes up completely and you have to restart the device.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Headphone Jack In Remote, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Battery Life On Remote, Freezes Sporadically

Unexpected Pleasure

Compared to my Samsung "smart" blu ray player, this is an incredible streaming experience. It never freezes, switches quickly and easily between channels, has LOTs of channels - soon to replace my cable tv subscription, automatically adjusts to the screen size and resolution, and if I didn't already have awesome headphones, the ear buds are really a great option. LOVE THIS PLAYER! Only thing missing is a YouTube or Right This Minute channel but those will come, I think...

We upgraded from the Roku XD/S and I'm so glad that we did. The box is even smaller, the remote is more comfortable in our hand, the on-screen interface is much, much easier to navigate and the content loads so much faster (I was surprised at this last pro, I didn't expect it). I would definitely recommend the Roku.

Need to connect to internet between using it. My roku HD always did it buy itself. Also will disconnect during playback.
