Love, love it!

Love the ease of searching for movie from already owned subscriptions, Netflix, hulu etc. We can even get TWC TV on this TV w/ Roku 3. That saves us the extra hookup fee for cable of $10 a month. Roku will eventually pay for itself!
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls

Even if you subscribe to "other" forms of tv. This gives you more options. It was easy to get started. We love it!

This is my second Roku. The first was easy to set up the remote. it worked with no problem. however this second roku's remote stinks. it will not synch. I xcalled support and every one of them had some "jump thru the hoops" gymnasticts to try and get it to synch and none of them worked. I don't have time to "jump thru the hoops" I asked for a new remote and was ignored. I ended up using remoku.tv to control the roku.

Paying for subscriptions for the pay channels can really add up. Be aware that they are typically monthly charges. There are enough free channels for me to make it worth using.

We switched from cable to this Roku and have NEVER looked back. We got so tired of paying for channels we never watch. The picture is amazing and the variety of shows are great. If there was a negative, it would be that the sound goes out on occasion and we have to reboot the Roku a couple of times. That can be aggravating. I don't know if its a flaw with the Roku or our internet service. Otherwise, awesome product

Simple easy set-up, no teens required!

We have cut our cable bill substantially since we now have a Netflix acct for movies and such. The set-up was fast and easy, the wireless chip brings in signals much better than any laptop I've seen. Love the simple remote (with headphone jack!). Only con is that if you lose your internet you lose your Roku, but that seldom happens. We're very happy with Roku, I recommend it to anyone thinking about it. This unit will pay for itself in a couple months of lower cable bills.
