Freezes a Lot

I use it mostly for DishTV and Netflix

Great Product

I absolutely love the Educational Programming, would like to see much, much more of such channels. The only serious problem i have noticed is that every so often on Netflix when viewing a series show, I don't have the ability to simply go to the next episode in the series. I'm forced to exit back to roku main screen then enter back into netflix. Content for entertainment is pretty much like buying basic cable but cheaper so that is actually a plus, however for any entertainment that is a year or newer forget it, you will not find anything for free, just rent from, Netflix dvd rental, Redbox or blockbuster kiosk rental its cheaper than whats available through roku channels such as Vudu, or Amazon Prime, etc. One last con is that Redbox still is not available for Roku, i really want this.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

Amazon, HBO Go and Netflix are all available. It has more apps than those provided by a competitor. Netflix, however, seems to show with higher definition on the competitor. Overall a great item with excellent streaming and great variety.

Roku 3 is the best but.....

First I have owned all three generations of the Roku family and Roku 3 is by far the best for streaming movies from NetFlix and PBS (the only two channels we regularly watch). However, its streaming capabilities are rather poor when listening to audio for example TuneIn and Shoutcast. Buffering can sometimes take minutes before the station appears. And then we frequently lose the connection and start all over again. I have also got a Western Digital player that loads in seconds and is rock solid. My IPod touch is also much better than the Roku brand. I am not sure where the problem is but I have seen other similar comments on the Forum about this. I hope the Roku team can someday catch up with their competion on this subject. Otherwise very good product and well worth its money if you are watching movies.

I cut the cord and use the Roku 3 for music, TV shows and movies. Excellent product all around and I have and will continue to recommend this product to friends and family. I especially like the hard wire port, provides clear uninterrupted service. This product also interfaces well with Amazon Prime, Slacker Radio, Hulu Plus and more.
