Freaking MAGICAL!

I love the 5Ghz radio and the audio port in the remote is magical, and the fact that once I deploy an application it is deployed to all registered devices I own. For the registration, that is the only reason I feel like it should be required. I NEVER plan to purchase any applications, so giving my CC info should not be required. Other than that I freaking love this thing, from top to bottom the full-engineering path was done right. Someone or a group of people at Roku know what the hell they are doing and it is not to just make a device and get first-to-market I feel like every detail was taken into account and properly handled.
Pros: Price, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Video quality, Deployment Of Application

A Streaming Solution That Just Works

Bought the Roku 3 after spending four frustrating years trying to get two different "smart" Blu-ray players to work properly with MLB.TV. Frequently I would have to give up and resort to plugging a laptop into my TV to watch a game. I bought the Samsung boxes specifically so I would not have to use a computer to watch MLB.TV - primarily to benefit my non-technical spouse. After reading a favorable review of the Roku on the MLB.TV forum I figured what did I have to lose for $100. It has performed flawlessly since I brought it home and my spouse remarks that it is as easy to use and reliable as broadcast TV.
Pros: Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Supports Mlbtv, Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Excellent Remote
Cons: No youtube

Good value and easy to use

mostly used for TV watching. Like the USB feature. Needs a YouTube thing. Wish there was a way to watch live tv without paying Time Warner an arm and a leg.

Love the Roku 3

I LOVE that I can be up late watching tv or movies and not disturb my husband while he sleeps by using the headphones. There's tons of free apps and programs available to suit everyone in the family and it's so easy to use. I love that the remote is so simple. It would be nice to be able to link the remote with my tv so I didn't have to use 2 remotes to control volume. LOL! But nothings perfect.

My only negative comment is that when one starts a video on Netflix, it always starts out blurry at first. This does not, however, happen on Hulu Plus.

I had two needs to fill: I'd cut cable so I needed streaming entertainment options, and sometimes I host family functions that have home movies. Thankfully the Roku 3 handles both, well and easily. The entertainment channels are fast and responsive, and the USB port lets me play just about whatever I like from local sources.

I bought one of the original ROKU players when they came out and enjoyed it but It was difficult at times (connection - unhandy remote). When I saw the ROKU 3 player I had to have it. Extremely easy setup and small design. The new remote was a joy to use. I would recommend this to anyone.

Good product, BUT.....

I like everything about it except that it drops our internet connection way to often and we have to reconnect. This did not happen with our older model. We upgraded due to the expanded search capability but are very disappointed with the poor connectivity.
