Best Roku Yet!!!!!!

Being dual band the roku 3 is so much faster than previous models. I have a dual band router and my dsl is streaming like a champ because of the roku 3. Also, the roku 3 has a better processor so it navigates the menus much faster as well. Love this Roku 3!!! Keep up the great work ROKU!!! Thanks~

Great product overall. Very happy with my purchase and am looking to get a second Roku for my other TV once I upgrade my internet. Between Netflix and Amazon Prime I'm using my Roku 3 constantly and was able to drop my digital cable and DVR package. Pros: - iOS app is great and being able to play music from my phone to the Roku is useful. - Simple controls - Great channel selections - Easy to purchase/rent movies when I want to. - Looks way better than my old cable box and is easier to hide from view if need be. The cons are mostly nitpicks but should be taken into account none the less. - No YouTube app (without taking hacky measures) is kind of a bummer and definitely a feature I hope is added in the future. - You also can't search for new channels, only browsing is allowed. That's fine unless I'm looking for a specific channel I heard about online and just want to go directly to it. - Pressing the volume buttons only displays an error in the corner of the screen so volume control requires a second remote. Not sure how hard volume control is over HDMI but a minor nuisance either way. Haven't used the Roku for gaming nor have I used the headphone jack on the remote so I can't comment on those aspects of it.
Pros: Saves Money, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Can't Search Channels, Can't Search For Channels, No Youtube Playback, No volume control

Love it for the most part

There are 2 issues that I have experienced with this product. The first is that randomly while watching something, the sound will stop. The other is that while using the earphones, there will be a very loud random annoying crackling noise. All in all I am pleased with the performance, as I have been able to do what it was intended for which is help my 80 year old mother watch her Soaps again.

Love the addition of a remote with the headphone capability along with the automatic silencing of sound on TV speakers. Great way to watch programming (movies, TV, music, etc.) without disturbing others. Would deserve five stars if there were a way to indicate low battery condition. Those around you get a surprise when the batteries give out and full sound returns to the TV speakers. All-in-all a great product.

Love the headphone in remote feature. Plex runs really great and Amazon Prime Video as well. In fact everything runs a lot better than my Roku 1. Love it!

I use the product to play movies and shows for my parents, the only thing about it is sometimes disconects from wifi and freezes or fails to start channels, but over all its great i think its easy to use perfect for people with little knowledge of technology

I got this product for the HBO-GO feature, which simply does not work. I am very disappointed in that. Otherwise its a great product.

Roku 3 has a much faster interface than our very old original Roku box. No need to point the controls directly at the box. Movies never show that they are loading (Our download speed is around 5 Mbps) and the HD quality is fabulous and better than with the old Roku. Controls allow for easy rewinding if you missed something. Well worth the upgrade. Most of our time is spent with Netflix and MLB (Major League Baseball). The Flickr app for your photography slide shows from the internet is a fun way to share your trip photos with friends when they come over. Haven't found too many other apps that have been worth our time in the long run. Just depends on what you like to watch. We could get these apps directly on our tv or thru our blu-ray player, however, we like the Roku interface. We are a "no cable" household and love it for the $$ savings and never a lack of "our choice" in what to watch.
