the Roku connects your old tv to wifi

had an older tv without wifi and the roku-3 allowed me to stream movies and tv from Netflix and Amazon without the DVD's via postal mail. different kind of menu where you see a picture of the novie or show with some info and click on it to play it. it came with many other apps and lots of free ones with more movies. also has an app for Simple.TV which is a DVR for broadcast tv so between it and the Roku I'm going to cancel my cable tv and the bill of $100 a month where I couldn't find a movie to watch while I have too many choices with the Roku.

A MUST-HAVE for couch potatoes!

I've finally been able to go with my satellite TV provider's lowest cost plan. (I'd 'cut the cord' completely if I could stream my local news.) And when my satellite reception quits, or when I lose it completely due to yet ANOTHER faulty receiver, I have my Roku!
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Almost Unlimited Content, Attractive Design

mount should come with, keeps falling off cabinet and hanging with wires. Really need 5Ghz Modem to stop all the buffering's.
Pros: More Responsiveness, HD, 5 Gigahertz
Cons: No Kybd, Wires Drag It Down

I use the Roku3 box for all my television entertainment needs. The product overall is great! It's easy to set up, easy to use and has a user friendly interface. The only con I have is that the Roku3 and both 1 and 2 versions do not support You tube which is odd because every other streaming media player does.

So Glad I Bought It

I am so glad I bought this! We love it because we can take it with us anywhere we go. I can stop watching Netflix in the living room and pick up where I left off in the bedroom. It responds well even when hiding behind the TV. My only issue is that when we don't use it for long periods of time, we have to reset it so that it will work. Once it is reset, it works great. We have traveled with this and it is perfect. We have tons of kid shows on Netflix and VUDU and they all travel with us. What a GREAT buy this was for us. I am glad I chose the Roku and not the Apple TV. I feel I have more freedom of shows with the Roku.
Pros: Simple Controls, Easy To Take On The Go, It Hides Out Of Sight, Fast Setup
Cons: Restart Wo Prolonged Use
