I wish they would get more exciting FREE games, and add more FREE channels. Otherwise I LOVE it! Cheaper than cable!!

I am electronically-challenged, so I needed a little help setting it up, but the friend who set it up assured me that it's really quite simple. It has worked perfectly since he installed it. I especially like the remote--it is very intuitive. I can't think of any way to improve on it.

Problems with the enhanced remote

I bought the Roku 3 explicitly for the enhanced remote with headphones. This allows me to watch shows late at night without turning the volume down, which makes dialogue nearly impossible to hear since I only have the television speakers in my living room. Unfortunately, the enhanced remote is having a tendency to disconnect from the Roku. This means not only can I not control playback through it anymore, but it also means that audio comes unexpectedly blasting out of the television rather than my headphones. I have the Roku enclosed in a wooden cabinet with an IR repeater. But since the enhanced functionality isn't using IR (bluetooth I guess) this configuration is likely causing the problem. However, since that's a setup a lot of users are likely to use you should be wary that the signal can be too weak from the remote.
Pros: Fast Setup, Better User Interface, Improved Performance

We loved the Roku 2 we bought, that when the 3 came out, we moved the original to the bedroom and put the 3 with the big system.

Excellent, but Needs More

First, I love this version of the Roku. Played a few games just to get a feel for the experience, but that wasn't the selling point. I love the faster processor, the stability of the latest software (Roku 5.0) and the very broad selection of channels. However, there a few critical channels that are missing: Google Play and YouTube. I realize that part of the problem is Google, but it's a drawback of the product nonetheless. I have Youtube on my Bluray player, so it's not impossible.
Pros: Responsive Ui, Improved Audio/Video, Faster Processor
Cons: Slippery Plastic Remote, No Rca Outputs
