Just upgraded!

Bought the unit because I like to stay updated when I can. I had the Roku 2XD with no problems. I used the audio out since my older Denon receiver did not pass thru audio on HDMI. So I ended up spending money on a new receiver as well. New unit definitely seems faster. Easy setup and no problems so far.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: No Audio Out

I love this Roku and find it extremely easy to use, but was disappointed that my headphones were broken upon opening. I have not been able to use this aspect of the Roku.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

Had the older model of the ROKU and upgraded to the newest version. LOVE it.!!!! Streaming is so easy. Sometimes the uploading of movies takes 2 times. Once the movie starts and then a few minutes into the movie it reloads. Kinda of a pain sometimes but overall great product.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Was So Easy To Set Up So, Attractive Design

Good Quality, only Minor Issues

The small design and easy to set up process makes this a great device, especially for those who are looking to get rid of or do not have cable. The only downfall is that it will occasionally lock up as you cannot turn the device off short of unplugging it. I've also had some issues where channels will not load for no apparent reason but for the most part it works and I am happy with my purchase.
Pros: Enhanced Menu Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Unable To Load Channels, System Freezes

Great upgrade from Roku 1

I bought this as an upgrade to our Roku 1. What an upgrade! It has far exceeded my expectations. After all, I was still really happy with the Roku 1. I still wish it could just simply navigate my home network without the need for a media server, but other than that small complaoint it's perfect.
I travel often for business, and hate searching through various TV line-ups to find shows. It is so much easier to have access to my preferred choices and pre-paid streaming options wherever I go. In addition the box has such a small footprint, it is nothing to through it into my carry on bag.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than AppleTV....ALMOST perfect!

The GUI is great and easy to navigate, but it can still be hard to locate content I want across various sources (NetFlix, Hulu, etc) it doesn't always show me where a show (or movie) can be watched for free (if I have a paid subscription) and this would be helpful. There are times when I have to search within each provider separately (NetFlix or Hulu) to find "New Release" movies (for example)....it gets tedious.
Pros: Great Gui, Aggregates Content, Simple Controls
Cons: Need A, Search Needs Work
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only if you need Amazon Video support

I bought this product to watch Amazon video on our TV. We already had Apple TV but they don't do Amazon so we had to add another component. I have been getting HDCP errors on the Roku where video will not play. The only thing that fixes it (after trying everything else listed online) is to reboot the Roku. This fixes it so I assume it's a Roku error. The Netflix app shows horrible video quality. The Apple TV sitting right next to it shows much better video quality for Netflix so I assume that this is not a network issue, this is something inherent in Roku. The Amazon Video app works most of the time and the quality is much better than Netflix. If you need Amazon Video support then I think Roku is your only option.
