Unexpectedly Good!

Received as a gift. Did not know what it could do or how it could be used. Works 10x better than my DVR. I don't record HBO, etc. anymore because the functionality on the Roku is so much better.

Easy to stream content Headphone jack on remote is sheer genius! Private channels provide a wealth of extra options Setup took less than 10 minutes Super-friendly with 3rd party apps that extend Roku functionality

I owned a first generation Roku and it was GREAT i loved it. I have the Roku3 and WOW I didn't know what I was missing is responsiveness and speed! Movies start right away and the UI isn't sluggish. GREAT product!

The only thing that I wish this came with is a keyboard. Otherwise, this product is a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Great Streamer

I had the roku 2 previous to the roku 3 so I knew what I was getting into. The speed and software improvements are welcoming. Everything feels snappier including buffering time. It is really easy to set up and start using. There are lots of channels (also a lot of useless channels). I usually use netflix, plex and aereo. I have a wired connection but tested the wireless as well. I find the wired better since it's faster.
Pros: Attractive Design, Good channel selection, Fast Setup
Cons: Lack Of Mkv Over Http, Channel Store Ui, Codec Support

like the headset from the remote. can watch tv with out making sound to wake up kids or bother wife when she is reading.
