cutting the cable cord

We have been using our Roku3 for about a month and are enjoying watching movies and TV series. Everything works as described. Plan to cut the cable cord soon.

I have two LG tvs; one is the 42" Cinema 3D Smart TV, the other is 55" LG LED 3D. While the 42" comes with built-in channels; i.e. Netflix, Hulu, etc, it does not offer a way to expand more channels of which my Roku 3 offers plenty. The 42" is set up in my handicapped daughter's apt. Having the headphone remote makes catching up on my missed programs late night a breeze. The 55" LG does not have any built-in channels so, again, my Roku becomes a valued commodity.
I find it fast and it offers plenty of channels; although, YouTube and Xfinity would be welcomed additions. It is small so bringing it anywhere is a breeze. I would have liked to see the component connection as an option on the Roku 3. That, I believe, would make this little device PRICELESS!!!

Overall, Roku is great, but it's biggest weakness is it's lack of native ability to access content on your network.

My husband bought a roku for upstairs since we had to hard-wire our brand of bluray to the tv downstairs because of out internet. The Roko works with our wireless connection and is SO FAST! The kids love that it came pre-loaded with Angry Birds, and we've added a few other games for them. I love that I can watch my Netflix and Vudu on it and we can watch the latest episodes of our favorite PBS kids and FOX shows! Definitely a great item for everyone's tv!

Awesome product that works super fast! One complaint I do have is that there is no audio output. No fiber, coax, not even component. Love the great picture, just wish I could have the things I watch in Dolby surround sound.

its great and does almost everything i expected. lack of an official youtube channel is just plain odd but there are ways around that. on the controller, i dont like that pressing up is the same as exit and i feel fast forwarding/rewinding is a little slow. i dont like that you cant manually turn it off or put it in stand by. searching is not great. it should let you save keywords, save searches, or have a longer history of searches.
