Small package, huge payload

I love my Rokus. I have one in the bedroom and one in the family room and have bought them as gifts. It is sleek and easy to set up with a huge variety of content. The best use for me is to find "other" shows. I use the Roku the applications to locate shows I have never heard of, shows from around the world that open up opportunities for me.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Sleek, Simple Controls, Fun
Cons: Does Not Have Browser

So happy with my ROKU

The TWC app continuously gives me trouble; I log in but, it refuses to give me access. I'm looking forward to more channels being added to the ROKU line-up.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Twc App Is Faulty

Much Improved

I owned a Roku 2 LT and purchased this as a second one. This is a lot faster and more responsive than the roku 2. My only gripes have to do with the apps. Netflix on Roku is the only Netflix app that doesn't autostart the next episode. Also it would be nice if send to roku worked with movies as well as pictures and music.

No notable shortcomings

I had been using Sony equipment to stream NetFlix both at home and our condo. Different equipment, same problem... multiple time-outs. The Roku hasn't snagged once! Plus I love the earphone jack on the remote! Only shortcoming is its lack of support for SlingBox.

Software interface is vastly improved over the last for finding your channels. I was looking forward to the upgrade and it has been an immense improvement overall.

Use the Roku 3 every day for at least two movies. I also have an Apple TV, Panasonic Blu ray, Oppo Blu ray, and HDTV with apps and a Sony N100. Have a Roku in another room that is used quite a lot. But the Roku 3 beats them all. Very easy to set up, and I never have had a problem with streaming many movies a day. The audio and video quality is better than the Sony, which is very good. What I really love is the headphone jack in the remote, which does a great job with a 250 ohm German made over the ear headphones. The frequency response is surprisingly very good. I have to say that using the headphone jack in the remote every day for hours will use a set of 2 AA batteries about every 3 weeks, so I went to Costco and loaded up on their brand of alkaline batteries. I am now looking forward to the Roku 4.....?? Cannot see how they could improve on the Roku 3, but they sure did with the "3" compared to their other models...!!

i watch a ton of online video so i was looking for something with A LOT of apps available, and this was it. disclaimer: i also stream from xbox 360 and a media center on other tvs, and i STILL find the roku 3 very useful. the time from power on (it's always on) to watching a video is faster than any of my other devices. search is pretty good, but as with any non-qwerty remote, it's tedious to input words using on-screen keys. it's missing youtube and xfinity, but that wasn't a big deal for me since it has near everything else. if you're looking to stream online video, you really can't go wrong with this device. get it. and then get one for each tv.

It hangs often. I have used apple TV also and it stops/pauses streaming as soon as I turn off TV. Roku keeps running in background. It heats up and if I leave it running overnight it wouldn't work in morning.

Cons: No power off button, Heats up, Hangs Often
