Pandora and Vevo are best. Netflix is great but it is available on all streaming devices by subscription.News channels such as CNN International, Al Jazeera, RT News and any other ones work for a few weeks then stop working. Biggest drawback is lack of YOUTUBE...because of which I had to buy Apple TV as a second unit instead of a 2nd ROKU3!! I wish they will add YouTube!!!! and the News Channels keep working!!
Pros: Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Verstile, Lots of channels, Simple Controls
Cons: News Channels Disappear, Lacks Youtube

I use this product every day, in the morning I stream radio from across the country while i get ready. After work I throw on a TV eppisode while I cook dinner, the best part is I can browse catalogs without waiting for long load times. The main search function finds where I can get what I want, no more searching through all my subscriptions, I can even see at a glance where a video is cheapest. The Roku replaced both my cable box and computer for watching anything nowadays.

I will never pay for cable again

I cancelled my cable and got a Roku. It has all of the streaming apps on one device I love it. I pay for Netflix and Hulu and that is way cheaper than paying 200 for AT&T uverse. I would recommended everyone to get one. I do wish it had you tube on it though.

Close to perfection

I bought this after I had to give up on using RaspBMC and Raspberry Pi for my online streaming needs. Ironically, a very similar (if not identical) CPU that's in the Pi is in the Roku. That said, though it's not near as configurable as the RPi/RaspBMC (and thus not as fun for me), it streams Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu easily. The remote is also a really neat idea. I don't use the headphones with it as much, but I do plug it into the speakers on my treadmill so I can hear the show better while running. While it's not a DIY solution, it still has lots of DIY-like options, has tons of channels (though is missing a few that would allow us to cut the cable fully). It fullfills nearly all my needs and does so in a way that can be completely hidden from view.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Small
Cons: No Difm, No Indycar, Clunky Network Switching, Twitchtv Unavailable

Far superior to Netgear

I originally purchased a Netgear player because I have a Netgear modem/wifi and assumed the two units would work best together. Basically, the Netgear streaming player is very slow, frequently doesn't seem able to even find my channels. I was never able to use the alpha keyboard in a reasonable manner because the remote kept dropping out of alpha mode. I finally got so fed up with it I just dumped it.

More than small improvements

I use the product to display home videos (primarily) and to view subscribed channels (secondarily). I use PLEX extensively. PLEX pairs very well with Roku.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Great Headset Audio, Fast response, Attractive Design
