Roku3: Easy setup, nice design, outstanding remote control but none of my movies stored in my USB were able to play, image froze constantly very frustrated. Google the problem and indeed there is something wrong with the software/hardware design.Returned the unit same day and got a Netgear NeoTV (cheaper) this thing was able to play my USB movies flawlessly for hours, no issues. If you are planning to play any kind of video via USB stay away from Roku, if that's not an issue then you will be happy with this streamer.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am a casual user who is significantly impressed with the capabilities of the ROKU 3 and am delighted that I have it as a supplement to my existing electronics.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Makes Me Feel Brilliant, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple To Use And Setup

Hangs often

Simple setup. Convenient controls. However hangs often and to start one has to remove power cord and put it back in. The usb player does not play all content. OVERALL GOOD

I love my Roku

Works great. There have been a couple of times when it froze, but I unplugged it and waited ten seconds to replug it and it reset itself and worked perfectly. I just bought a second one for my bedroom. Even easier to set up the second time.

Easy to set up, but although it has tons of content, quality of that content is open to debate. Still, if you add in the pay per view and subscription channels, there is plenty to watch. Haven't decided to unplug from the cable yet....we'll see.
