Great Product!

We have a similar product, but discovered that a major streaming video outlet (Amazon) was not available through it, or through laptop mirroring. That's when I found Roku. We don't use it to its full potential yet. We are primarily watching Netflix and Amazon Prime through it, and we gave up cable 4 months ago. We have had no problems, except that twice, the remote has become upaired from the unit. The first time, I had to go online to figure out what was wrong. After that, I knew what to do, and it's a fairly easy fix.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design
Cons: Loses Remote Pairing

Headphones kill batteries

The remote headphones burn through batteries at a very quick pace. I have to use corded phones connected to my TV or my batteries only last a day or two. The only reason I bought Roku 3 was for the head phones that connect to the remote which are useless. Customer support told me to move the reciever to another location, I tried several. Without using the remote headphones my batteries last well over a month with the remote head phones batteries last 2 days tops.
Pros: Simple Controls
Cons: Headphones
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Roku 3 works as advertised and has meet all my expectations. Can't imagine how the next generation can improve over this model.

I got a "Smart TV" so that I could watch Drama Fever on something bigger than my tablet. How disappointed I was to find out that that app was not available. I found out about Roku by accident. it has now turned my "Smart TV" into a genius!!! I can now watch my favorite app whenever I want to. I am now a very happy and satisfied customer. I don't review products very often, but Roku deserves the best review that I can give it. We now have three of them in our house. I

Liking the Roku!

Setting up the Roku is pretty simple except you need to great an account with them on a computer. Not sure why you can't do everything from the device itself. Same with the app. Need to go to a computer. I'd rather them display the interface on the TV and go from there. That being said it a wonderful device and with the amount of free channels it a VERY worthwhile investment.

I love how fast it loads movies. I've had some other players and they just don't even come close to the Roku. Also love the headphones that plug into the remote. I can watch movies and not disturb anyone else.
