Best Streaming Device on the Market

Could not believe how easy it was to setup and use this device. I had a Boxee Box and this is sooo much easier to use. The interface is incredibly easy to use and my wife who is not in anyway a technical person can use this device with ease. Tons of apps you can install for it as well. Streams flawlessly over WiFi or direct connect to router port. I would definitely recommend this device to anyone wanting to cut the cable cord.
Pros: A Cave Man Can Use It, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Needs an onoff button

It's fast, easy and just about invisible. I color of the older movies is great I looked at the same movie without the roku and it was awful. The only thing I don't like is that ot slow down if you push the buttons to fast, then you need to get out of the system and come back in about 3 mins later.

The Device So Nice, I Bought It Twice

I purchased the Roku 2 after reading a number of positive reviews. My girlfriend and I loved it so much that we were carrying it back and forth between televisions. When the Roku 3 came out, we decided to buy a second device. It's still simple to set up and use. The user interface is improved and it's more responsive. I love the availability of channels (HBO Go, Netflix, Amazon Instant, pandora, etc.). I've convinced at least five of my friends/coworkers/relatives to buy them, and every one of them has thanked me for it.

we use the Roku all the time. We cut our cable two years ago and haven't looked back. we have a great antenna for local news...if we ever want to be depressed. I use the usb port to stream my movies, the UI could be improved it is very bland...but functional.

I was very surprised at how easy it was to set up and to use. It was easy to link it to Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, and Netflix. New free chanels get added often. The remote has better range than any other remote I own. It had weird issues when I got it that required a reset occasionally, but they already provided a firmware update that fixed it. The only con I have noticed is that it gets very warm.

We love our Roku 3! We love to use it to watch Netflix and Hulu Plus. We have saved so much money by streaming our shows through the Roku. The only thing I would suggest would be You Tube as an option on the Roku 3 model. If that was on it my family would be set. Sometimes it freezes up and you have to unplug the cord from the back of it for 20 seconds and plug it back in to unfreeze it but it's still amazing.

Good but...

Easy set up. One Time purchase fee. However, by the time I purchase Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Amazon Prime with the cost of the roku and all that split over 12 months... it's the same price as I would of paid if I had kept satellite. Our decision to go with Roku was hinged on the Disney feature. However, we are extremely disappointed that there are no full episodes only vacation planning, disney related you tube clips, a few music videos and a few random show clips. This was the biggest disappointment of all. The Disney listing was the sole purpose for purchasing Roku rather than just going with Apple TV or sticking with my BluRay's Netflix/HuluPlus feature. I'm disappointed that I've basically wasted my $99 on Roku. In addition, there is no off button so the little unit is constantly on and gets very warm. I'm not sure there is saving energy and the heating gives me concern for safety. The menus ARE easy to handle and navigate and readable.

Cons: No off button, Not Cost Effective
