Fast -- that's what an audio/video appliance needs to be and that's what the Roku 3 is. There is no noticeable lag in the menu system. Netflix works and feeds flawlessly even at HD resolutions. It just works and that what we want.

I use this product for watching movies and documentaries. I gave it four stars because of an occasional freeze up. It then becones necessary to reboot the roku by momentarily unplugging the power.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video

I use it to watch Amazon Prime videos, though Amazon Prime video quality is so bad for most content, it is not worth the bother. The main detraction of the device is the lack of a web browser. It seems like such a no brainer, I can't help but think that it is some kind of misguided marketing strategy to not have one. It had the opportunity to be a great device and they stupidly limited it's content sources. Everyone I know wants to watch video from the web, be it Youtube or other sources, like online training that I subscribe to. It will likely be bypassed soon by someone with a competent design.

Cons: No Web browser, No youtube

I had one of the original Roku boxes and when I saw the Roku3 on line I decided to upgrade. I am very glad I did. The Roku3 is a big improvement. Everything loads much faster and searching for something is very easy. it also gives you options for different channels where your program is available for viewing. I have learned about the Roku Private Channels and use several of them for news, weather and PBS programs. If you are an older person like myself, don't be afraid of this technology! It's a simple setup with many rewards. No more big bucks every month for cable channels you will never watch is the best reward! I can watch what I want when I want. I am very happy with my new Roku3!

Our first experience with streaming internet video. We experimented a bit by streaming through a laptop computer connected to the TV. Then a colleague recommended the Roku. This is a much better option. The Roku player is very easy to setup, and the simple remote makes it a pleasure to use. It connects very quickly. We have had absolutely no problems with it to date. Very affordable, too. We have been impressed.

The headphone plug is great. My wife and I work different shifts. We can quietly use the ROKU and not disturb each other. And the quality of sound is AMAZING!!
