ROKU 3 is the BEST gift EVER!!!!

I received the ROKU 3 for Mother's Day and it has improved my entertainment experience exponentially! I have always loved my Rokus (i have two) but the Roku 3 is absolutely AMAZeBALLS!!! i LOVE the Roku 3's earbud feature that allows me to listen to my shows late at night, or listen to Joe Rogan podcasts on youtube that contain profane language with my child around hahaha. The games are awesome too, our favorites include angry birds and four-in-a-row/connect four game. I'm also now able to watch netflix with subtitles, and there are a lot of awesome channels available now like PBS. So having Netflix, YouTube, and PBS, I seriously do NOT need cable at ALL! On top of that, there's Crunchyroll, Pandora, Crackle, ugh, I freaking love my ROKU 3 and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves movies, Watching youtube videos, and saving hundreds of dollars!
Pros: Added channels, YouTube Channel, Earbud Feature, Subtitles on netflix, Flash Drive Plugin

The great thing is you get a lot of channels to choose from. I love the new remote with the headphone jack! Now I don't disturb my wife late at night but I can still hear the show. It's a little more clunky than the Apple TV. I'm NOT an Apple fan-boy, but their device is a lot smoother in the menus and navigation, but it's also a LOT more limiting on channel chose.
Pros: Good Wireless Connection, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Lot Of Channels To Choose, Attractive Design, Small Footprint
Cons: Clunky menus

I use the ROKU to view travel films and find them very good; beautiful photography and interesting information. Also watch Documentaries,(ie) Civil War, Serengeti Plains, etc. Also movies. I would love it if there were only one control. Would like to see CNN evening news.

I started with appletv because I'm a Mac person. Then added Visio Co-star to be able to stream Amazon Video. Then purchased Roku 3 for Fox News, as I ditched cable for antenna tv and missed Fox News. Now use Roku exclusively for streaming as remote is easy to use and my Wife and I can listen to audio with Bose headphones and splitter attached to Roku remote.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

My wife and kids run roku with ease

I bought a Roku and cancelled expensive TV. At first my wife and kids objected and complained. But both gradually discovered Internet TV. They were addicted. One key to their success was how easily roku worked. The hard part ws making the tv switch over to roku. Once they figured that out, it was all good. I wish the roku remote would switch the tv to roku when you pick up the roku remote.

always needs rebooted

I do however hate the fact it always needs rebooted. Almost daily. I have to taketgeback off the remote. Pop out a battery. Then push the reboot button till it blinks. Resemble the controller. Then unplug the Roku 3 box for 15 min. Then have it go throgh the whole restarr. Kinda a pain.
