I really like the roku 3

I like the way the on screen menus are set up and that it is easy to get to what you want to get to. This Is one of two Rokus I own. The Roku 3 was a gift.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Nice Onscreen Format

I use this as my main source of t.v We have since turned off our cable. Also so small we can take it to the bedroom with us and watch it there too!!

Finally got around to updating from my Roku1 to a Roku3. A world of difference. Sleeker, more efficient interface, more content, faster, less hiccups, it's a quantum leap ahead of what I had, and I liked what I had.

World's Best Streamer as of 7/28/13

I have been using the Roku 3 for several months now and find it to be vastly superior to the Roku 2. The main upgrades from the Roku 2 are the faster processor, 802.11 ac wireless compatibility, and significantly improved software. Not everybody will benefit from 802.11 ac compatibility as few people have a router that outputs that kind of signal and currently upgrading to an 802.11 ac router costs around $200. The new software is much improved although there remains little continuity between apps on the Roku. The one gripe I have with the Roku is the lack of DLNA support. This means the Roku 3 is unable to stream content around the network to which it is attached. There is the solution to use Plex media server. Plex works by streaming your content from your Plex server up to the internet and back down to the Plex client in this case on the Roku. I have run into the problem that Time Warner Cable starts throttling my internet connection after about 1.5 hours so I cannot make it through an entire movie. All of this adds up to the Roku 3 being the best media streamer on the market and well worth the price. 7/28/13 Tom in Raleigh.

We stream movies and TV shows we have missed from both free and pay sites. It works great and if you have lots of free time (I don't) there are about 750 Roku channels.

Goodbye cable television

After a few days of using Roku 3, cable television service was history. We love the fact that Plex, Netflix, and a wide array of other services are compatible. The only thing that is missing is a youtube channel.
