Handles HD streaming much better than earlier models. It has yet to "downgrade" the signal to SD (480p)
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Attractive Design

I love it, especially for programs that I have missed, example: 24. I was able to take to sister's and logon to watch my programing... loved it! So did she! since we could watch anything available on Net Flix.... nice job Rogu!!..my brother lives in Nevada and I live in Washington... he bugged me to no end until I bought this streamer? Love my brother!!

I have a Roku 2 which I've had no problem with. When I received the Roku 3 I was excited to use the new features like the remote control headphones. What I found is that when I turn on my TV and Roku 3, nothing happens.....Roku screen is frozen and won't respond to the remote control. When I reboot everthing works fine. I've had to do this over a half a dozon times so far. I was showing my brother Roku3 because he was interested in getting one and of course the screen was frozen and I had to reboot. He asked if that were normal so he obviously was concerned about it. I would recommend the Roku 2 but not the Roku 3 at this time. I don't know how to resolve this issue at this point.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video

Watch movies and TV series. Addition of subtitles big help for people like me with hearing difficulties. I found game controller use awkward, and didn't use headphone outlet.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls

I loved my little Roku box...

I loved the Roku box. It was cute, fast and easy to use. We got rid of it because we couldn't stream HBO Go from DirectTV. If we could have, I would have given it 5 stars. But we took it back to get an Apple TV instead. :( It didn't make sense to have both.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Tons of channels, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls
Cons: No youtube
I would recommend this to a friend!

What I really appreciate is when something I order online turns out to be exactly what I expected. This was my experience with the Roku 3. I must add that a few days before the Roku 3 arrived, I added a Netgear 900 dual band wireless router so as to take advantage of the dual band feature of the Roku 3. I don't know if it was the router or the Roku 3, but now my movies load in seconds, with no reloading or picture stuttering. I'm guessing it may be a little of both, and I'm guessing the 5 GHz band may help. FYI, the router and Roku are separated by about 50 feet and I've used the Roku 3 for about two months. The remote with headset is my favorite. I'm a night owl, and I can now watch the West Wing or whatever without fear of waking my wife. And, I also enjoy watching a slideshow of my iPhone photos on the TV, with music from my playlist. One thing to keep in mind is that one is actually using the remote a lot to listen to shows, music, etc., so the batteries need to be changed a little more frequently.
