Roku3 : The best net streaming playing

Roku is a very efficient net stream player, which will give any "SMART" Tv a run for its money. I am really happy I bought a dumb Tv and enabled it with Roku. The gyroscope based gaming shows potential, but for more indie games. The remote is functional and efficient

We love our Roku 3. Frankly, I don't know how we got along without it. Whatever you're in the mood for...Roku brings it to you. It's all available at the push of a button. Having Roku is like going to a great mall. It has all the best entertainment providers under one roof. We'll never be without our Roku.

Not as expected

I've setup my roku 3 with my Synology NAS and Plex, but with very large bluray's (mkv) the buffering takes forever (30 minutes...) and every 10 minutes it needs te buffer again. Might be my setup, but i've tried everything, no luck so far.

Cons: Buffering Very Slow

Fast loading

Very nice design. I owned the original HD Roku and it had the optical port for my receiver and I do miss that and even though you can buy a splitter for the hdmi it would have been nice to have one built in. The Roku 3 loads so much faster then the original and has a larger channel selection . I am happy with my purchase. I would give it 5 stars if there was a optical port.

Our children gave us the Roku and I can actually connect to and use this, unlike other boxes and units. I'm 59 and a little tech-challenged. The only drawback I have found is that it disconnects from Wi-Fi every time we lose power, even a flicker, and has to be reset (by someone else, of course). My computer-savvy son-in-law says that's normal. Otherwise, I love it!
