My family loves the Roku, it's very easy to search for shows, artists etc. But its a hassle to type in a word with direction arrows. The new UI is alot easier with the grid view. The older left / right took forever say if what youre looking for is item 38 out of 75. Theres tons of channels but even though they are 'free' they require signup, which isn't free. The only issue thats not Roku related is content doesn't seem to be added to certain channels.
Pros: Excellent Search
Cons: Freezes Once In A While, No keyboard, No youtube

I have a home wireless network and the furthest distant player losses connection and pairing a little too often - which is essentially my problem but reconnection is quite easy, once you know how do it!

It is a very addictive device. Simple to set up and use. Make sure to use a wired connection or a dual band (600Mbps) wireless router to avoid any buffering issues. Also best to get a 2GB-4GB micro SD card for personal info storage.

I mainly use this Roku for Netflix. It is definitely better than the DVD player that had a connection to Netflix. I like the choices that are available. The speed for connection to Netflix is wonderful as well.

This replaced a gen 1 Roku. Couldn't be happier. Running paid Hulu, Netflix & Amazon Prime. One big fix was Hulu doesn't crash anymore, which was sort a known bug on gen 1. The Roku interface is perfect. Can't always say the same for stations, but that's no reflection on Roku. I was also worried about wifi as I'd heard some mixed reviews on Gen 2, but never a single glitch here. Pure plug and play. Only suggestion is to do a better job of descriptions for stations that actually do require payment for content. Loading up stations that are marked free only to have to remove them is annoying and is a frequent occurence. It actually makes me not want to browse for new stations.
