Fantastic Product!!

The Roku has allowed us to view many of our favorite series previous seasons. We have also found that there are a variety of documentries available that we would have never seen if not for our Roku. There are many genres of viewing choices available and that allows us to see movies we would normally never see. We enjoy this product and recommend it to friends and family.
Pros: Provides Vast Choices, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

Wonderful device for the price.

System has frozen on occasion. Once required a hard reset. No real indication of why it froze. Makes amazon prime and Netflix watching so much easier. Would highly recommend it.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Software Issues At Times

Wonderful little black box

I use this box with my tech related podcasts they look great. I also use it with my Netflix and Amazon prime account. both look great on my high definition TV. The shows load quickly and run with almost no internet related hiccups. Thank you Roku.

Best Roku Yet

It is the best Roku yet!! The dual processor make a huge difference. It is 10 times faster at loading then the 2. I like the USB connection, but I wish it supported more formats like mov, flv, wma, etc. it's very limited. But overall a fantastic product!

Cons: Usb Needs More Vid Format

Roku replaces Cable (except basic)

Log-in for huluplus requires email address and password, which requires laborious input. Why can't Hulu remember these after the first log in? This could be categorized as a "suggestion" as well as a "comment".
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Replacement for cable, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

Freezes constantly

Pros: 1. Good for music videos 2. Good for news 3. Good for Netflix movies if you can find the one you want to watch. Cons: 1. doesn't always play MP4 and MKV files 2. Freezes all the time when playing movies from an external drive 3. Terrible Netflix interface 4. Netflix does not display all movies available 5. No regular Hulu option

nice device hampered by hdmi errors

Replaced a Roku 2 with the Roku3. Was super excited about the remote control audio jack which works great. However, I have had issues with the HDMI. When I change my TV input to the Roku, the menus work fine, but when I try to play content I get hdcp handshake errors. I either have to go into settings and toggle the setting (720p to 1080p, it doesn't matter what I switch to, the toggle is what makes it work) or I have to unplug the hdmi cable from the roku and plug it back in. Must be some kind of software issue, I have seen lots of complaints on the forums. I know it's not a bad cable or connection, it works fine once I unplug, and it was the same cable that worked fine for years with the roku 2. Hoping a firmware update will fix it. Right now I am regretting my purchase.

Cons: Flaky Hdmi
