sets up easy but you have to login to each service which takes a while. offers lots of channels but overall content is lacking. using plex to access my online videos which is hit or miss at best. i am really looking forward to someone getting a product like this right so that i don't have to rely on hardwired cable any more.
Pros: Gui Is Simple To Use, Attractive Design
Cons: No Ctrl Of Tv Volume, Difficult setup

I utilize the Roku for all of my media streaming needs such as Netflix and Plex. I especially enjoy the number of available channels, including the free channels that offer a substantial amount of content. I only thing that I dislike about the Roku 3 is the lack of an optical audio output port.

I've had three earlier Roku models before I purchased my Roku 3. Why I wanted this model was basically because of the headphone jack and volume control that is now included in the remote. Now that I've used it for a few weeks, I couldn't be happier. ANYONE considering purchasing a media stream device would do well with a Roku 3!

Has Made My Happy Marriage Even Happier!

I use this almost every day. My son had "borrowed" it to use on his TV for a few weeks, but I happily have it back. Guess I need to buy 1 for him. I am a night owl & my poor husband has had to sleep with the bedroom TV on for years. Plugging the included headphones into the remote has allowed my husband to finally sleep in peace!! He may love the Roku more than I do, Lol!

Slick device, but flaky WiFi

I like the simple device and simple interface, However... I have had one of the original Roku players for several years and the WiFi performance is great. I get a signal in parts of the house where other WiFi devices like HD TV and BluRay player don't work. However, the new Roku 3 players is problematic. If I haven't used it for a while ( a few hours) it looses it's network connection and the only way to get it back it to unplug the power to the Roku device and let it reboot. This sometimes take 2 or 3 reboots to get it to connect. Very frustrating. I sure wish the WiFi was as good on the new Roku 3 player as on my original, 3 year old Roku player!
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: Trouble With Wifi
