It really IS more powerful

I already had a 2XS and was pretty happy with it, but I had read that the 3 was more powerful, so I upgraded. The headphone jack on the remote is nice, but I very rarely use it. However, the thing that stands out is how much faster it runs certain apps than the 2XS. I don't know the processor specs, but I was shocked at how much faster it loaded apps and how much better it ran an app that streams video from my PC. To make sure I wasn't imagining it, I even switched back to the 2XS for an evening, and the difference was clear. The 3 definitely has a faster chipset.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Can't Use The Old Remotes

Better than cable

Roku combined with Netflix and its countless channels, has provided me and my family with much better content than cable could ever offer.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Cheaper than Cable, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: No youtube

Great Product!

Great product! Our new Roku 3 is a great improvement over the 3 year old Roku 2 that we have been using. Remote has much better range. Much better internet connectivity than the much more expensive Sony product that we rec'd as a Christmas present and have since given away. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to see a wide range of entertainment with great reliability. I'm not typically a review type person, but the Roku 3 is worth writing about...get one for yourself and you will be pleased.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

there has some problem

every thing is good but it has a big problem. there is no power button that's why it become hot very hot,so i thing it should has a power button.

"Enter Key" in bad place-otherwise good

I use this box to replace cable TV tuner and DVR in my bedroom. Time Warner Cable offers steaming channels on Roku - so this box saves me $10 a month in cable company rental fees and offers more channels. It is much more robust than the Roku LT and recovers itself after a rare crash (1 every 2 months) vs having to unplug and plug it back in.
Pros: Attractive Design, Rarely Crashes, Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Great Headphone Feature, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Occassionaly Crashes, 'ok' Button Placement, Only Has Hdmi Output

Saving Me A Ton While Offering More!

Sometimes when I watch a series with, let's say, 50 episodes, and I want to move to the next one, the timer spins for a while and it acts like there are no more. If I go out of Netflix to the ROKU main menu and back into Netflix, it solves itself. I don't know if that's Netflix or ROKU. Otherwise, this is the greatest investment in home entertainment I've ever made!
Pros: Lower Cable Bill, Headphones On Remote, Wide Variety To Watch, Simple Controls, Attractive Design

What a vast improvement over the Roku 2. I am now able to watch movies, at anytime of the day or night, and not have to worry about having the TV volume too loud. The ear buds that come with the Roku 3 connect directly into the remote and allows you to control the volume with the remote (what a blessing for those of us that are hearing impaired). Have tried four different types of Headsets, with the same adapter, and they all work without any issues. Definitely a recommended buy!
