Much faster than the original

We got this to replace the original Roku box which was getting a little sluggish. Best decision ever. The Roku 3 is speedy and handles any video we choose to stream flawlessly. The original used to stutter. I used to have to use the Roku app to control the original, but the new remote is so much better, I never use the app anymore. And I love the USB port for adding a hard drive full of my own movies.

Fun Powerhouse in a Very Small Box

I lost my cable TV signal one day, but still had broadband internet on the cable. The Roku 3 saved the day. I had entertainment for several weeks while the cable company piddled around to fix the cable TV problem. With Roku I learned you only need internet and you can skip cable TV, because many shows can be streamed on the internet using Roku 3. Finally some competition in our area with cable TV!
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Lots Of Content Available, Great remote control, Fast Setup, Has My Favorite Channels, Great Audio And Video

The Roku is amazing! I can't believe I didn't get one sooner. It was so easy to set up and right away I was streaming so many channels. I use Amazon Prime Streaming plus many other free channels and I am completely satisfied. Paired with a small digital antenna for my local channels, I got rid of my satellite provider and now save $90 a month. I've recommended it to all of my friends and family. Now we can watch our favorite shows whenever we want, pause them, and not have to see commercials. Love it!

Love it / BUT Upset

One of the big reasons I purchased this was to be able to access HBO GO to watch some the the series I hadn't seen from the first season. After hooking it up and trying to register my devise with my TV service provider (Direct TV) - I was informed that Direct TV is one of the very few HBO Providers that Roku does not have an agreement with. So - I am not able to use any of the services Roku offers that requires I select a provider to register with them. Had I known this I would have made a different decision. Please fix...

Headphones from the remote?!

I use this device late at night to watch movies. I love the headphone feature from the remote control. I do have a problem with the sound skipping out for just a second every now and then, but still enjoy using the device. I use it mainly with my Netflix and Amazon Prime subscriptions to watch movies.
