I enjoy the Roku 3

I usually use my Roku 3 to watch movies and listen to Pandora. I occasionally play the free version of Angry Birds. I like that it offers free channels/apps, but the movies are either the same or B-movies. I would like a channel that offers more up to date movies. I would even like to watch YouTube on it. Overall, it does what I purchased it to do.
Pros: Attractive Design, HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT, Simple Controls, Easy to use, Fast Setup
Cons: Need New Channels, Needs New Movie App, Freezes, Morebetter Free Channels

Stylish, you will have a lot of channels and options all in a touch of a button. I've been always an Apple products lover and was very hard to make a choice. I compared both products and ROKU has many advantages over Apple TV. I'm really satisfied with my ROKU 3.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Tons of channels, Attractive Design, Very Friendly
Cons: Couldn't Connect To Vudu, No Av Input, Lacks Of Youtube Channel

To be honest the reason I first bought Roku was because it provided Kenneth Copeland Ministries TV broadcasts including previous episodes and previous events. However it also offers all the other goodies that the other systems offers and then some. I have several of these type systems and Roke is definitely the best.

Not as good as using a computer

Had this device for a few months now, and found I use my laptop much more often than my ROKU3 (though in fairness, no other streaming device lives up to options provided by a cheap laptop). When searching for a movie, ROKU purport their search engine to come up with options from so many sources and then list the cheapest. Time and time again I have been able to stream the same movie cheaper (or free, legally) through my laptop. I found this quite disappointing, and just encourages me to turn the laptop on and not bother with the ROKU. I find the remote good, being able to stream audio through the headphones around the house (good for listening to the radio!) BUT it would be better if the volume control on the side, was able to adjust the volume of the content on the screen when the headphones are not plugged in. This would save picking up another remote to adjust the volume (ie; amp) Overall, I find this product okay. Probably one of the better on the market, however a cheap, old computer, or laptop, will give you far more flexibility if you dedicate it to the task.
Pros: Add Channels Remotely, Fast Setup, Small, Great Remote - Headphones, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Cheaper Movies Elsewhere, Remote Cant Adjust Volume

What a marvelous addition!

My daughter had been urging me to get one of these gems, and I finally got around to it! I am so thankful that I did! The setup takes a little time, but connecting the device couldn't be easier. If you don't have accounts with Netflex, Vudu, Hulu or other providers, you'll have to set those up. Have your laptop/tablet handy and save some time and effort. The remote is worth the difference in the purchase price vis a vis other models. It comes with an earpiece option that is wonderful! Plus, Android (and maybe I-stuff?) has a Roku app to make your phone or tablet a remote for the device. What a wonderful option for those that occasionally 'misplace' their remotes!! At this point, I am dropping my Blockbuster mailed discs account, which will save enough to pay for all the other services. Additionally, my Comcast expanded cable may be on shaky ground. I don't think that I need it with this baby running! Finally, there are some Android apps that will run your media on an online connection from your tablet or phone to a ROKU channel that you install. I use Twonky Beam, and it runs well. It is such a cool feature!

This is the only system I use for TV reception. I cannot say enough about Roku, I think evryone should own at least one. I have three.
