Great preformance Great Price

I stream movies thru my tv & have HBO Go set up on 2 of the TV's. It downloads great, fast & accurately most of the time. When it has a glitch usually have to unplug (no on off switch) and reboot Additionally sometimes have to reset router. It can be annoying. BUT this little inexpensive box is saving me about $100/month over the Dish & Direct TV I have used in the past. When my contracts are fulfilled with each of the Satellite companies THEY will be HISTORY and I will use this exclusively. I only like to watch movies & documentaries so it is perfect for me. Amazon Prime has it going on also!!! I have recommended it to friends I know 3 people who have made the switch with me ...What do they call it cutting the cord...smile

We Really Like It

It's not the Roku's fault, but it's always inconvenient to have to re-pair a bluetooth remote to a device whether it be a Wii or a Roku. It would be nice if the Roku remote would automatically re-pair if needed when you change the batteries.

The product could be greatly improved by adding real stations that are truly free, with no commercials, ala YouTube. The station choices that are truly free have limited content, or merely provide marginal snippets of main attractions.
Pros: Simple Controls, Solidly Built, Fast Setup, Intuitive interface
Cons: Few Practical Stations, Few Free Stations

What a great little box!

I use the Roku 3 on my non-smart TV. The radio frequency remote is a great improvement over the Roku 2. I have had absolutely no problems with this Roku 3, in fact I prefer it's ease of use over that of my larger smart TV. The availability of channels is outstanding, though I pretty much use only Netflix and Amazon Prime. I had a Roku 2 HD prior to this one and the difference is like day and night, the Roku 3 being far superior to the Roku 2.

The BEST streaming media product period.

This was a gift from my grandmother. The media player doesn't miss a step in video playback. With a decent Internet connection it plays video without any effort. Seamless and in some ways better picture than cable. Only slight lag is the audio control, which with an external speaker setup requires using a separate remote and doesn't quite have the decibel level as cable TV. Other than that it is excellent!!! Hands downs beats any competition.
