Constantly delighted with the Roku 3

I'm consistently delighted by my new Roku 3. The interface is simple and easy to navigate - much better than the Apple TV by far. I like the fact that I can plug headphones into the remote and listen privately. The audio quality is very high so streaming music comes in crisp and clear. I'm always finding something new and fun with the Roku 3 - lots of channels, lots of features. My go-to device used to be the Apple TV, but now it's the Roku 3 again and again.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: No youtube

Mostly a good experience

Wifi in the Roku is not as forgiving as Apple TV. I have a double brick house on a slab so Cat5 is a little harder to run to TV. WiFi reception not great at TV set; Apple TV almost never loses a connection, but ROKU does. Other than that the Roku get used more.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple to use, Great Set Of Apps

I have cut Dish to basic since Buying.However, Need streaming BBC,France TV,Press TV. Need more Live streaming TV programs. Young turks needs to be live or current. BBC World live would be great

Simple to use, still a few bugs

Unit disconnects from wifi during periods of lack of use. Not sure if it's the Roku unit or our home wifi. But everytime I use Roku to watch movies, I have to reestablish connection with the wifi. Not a big deal, and the unit works fine otherwise.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Drops Wifi Signal

I did a lot of research before deciding on the Roku3. We are empty nesters and do not have a gaming console, and the price of cable kept increasing and the quality of programming just didn't warrant that much of an expense. Network channels are free over the air, we really just needed something for movies and catching up on certain series when we wanted. This is that and more! I bought the Roku3, a 1 yr. subscription to a popular streaming service and have 2 other popular streaming services on monthly subscriptions. An absolute money-saver over cable! I miss my HBO, but paying for the full-blown cable package just for that was crazy! I love this so much I am going to buy another Roku soon for another room.

I could not afford the ridiculous rates charged by my cable company anymore. The Roku has let me have quality programming at a reasonable rate. I now enjoy watching shows, movies, and other types of programs. I like it better than cable. There is so much more freedom with the Roku. You subscribe to the channels you want, and some are free. Roku is great! Not only did it help us financially, it also gave us a more personalized experience watching television.

Got me watching TV again

I had given up on TV. Now thanks to Roku, I am hooked. The streaming of old seasons of shows and availability of movies when I want them is perfection. Even new Netflix shows I never heard of on demand. I was sceptical when my husband brought it home as just another gadget for him but I am using it more than he is. Great product.
