Upgraded from older unit specifically for the headphones. I gave it to my wife so I could hear myself think while she watched her "shoot 'em up, bang bang movies". It has saved my marriage!!

Not What I Needed

The Roku 3 is a great device, but I need a jack to use with my wireless headphones. The headphones on the Roku 3 shut off the sound for other listeners so I returned it and went back to my Roku2

Best $99 I ever spent

Simple setup and a great variety of programming. I combined the Roku 3 with a Tivo Premier and cut the cord to cable TV service. We are now 100% over the air broadcasts and Roku service!

great improvement

I had owned the original roku for three years and while it provided a great service, it's mechanics were flawed. The roku 3 has fixed everything I did not like about the original roku. The remote of the original rarely worked for the first few attempts, even while standing two feet away from the box. The roku 3 works from a different room! It never fails! Never! The new search lets you search through multiple roku channels for a movie, tv show, actor, director and more. It is extremely helpful. With the original roku I sometimes wished I still had cable, even at the outrageous extra cost. Roku 3 put those reservations to an end. Buy the roku 3. The only regret-free purchase I have ever made.

Great little device

This is a great little device. Well designed and great build quality. Loads of content, but we predominantly use NetFlix. We use it in Australia and it required a different power supply (purchased from JayCar), but have had no issues. The remote headphone feature is fantastic.
