Bought this as my second Roku. Planning to ditch Comcast in another month or so and use the Roku as my primary media delivery unit.

We watch TV episodes and movies streamed from both Netflix and Amazon Prime. We also take advantage of cable channels in HD offered by our internet/cable provider while only subscribing to "the basic" cable plan. Roku 3 connected to my internet without a hitch and is much faster uploading for streaming than previous Roku versions.

The ROKU 3 is really enjoyable it has enhanced our movie experience quite a bit. I like the system search feature for finding where I can stream a movie. I would like a genus browse capability with filters when I just am looking for entertainment . e.g. Cowboys with airplanes or monsters in British movies only.
Pros: Attractive Design, When Wired, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, 5 Minutes To Usable, Fast Setup
Cons: Needs Bluetooth Keyboard

Had an Apple TV that frequently froze, updates were also frequent and took 10-20 minutes to load, the remote sometimes would not work. When it worked it was great but often it did not. I got the Roku in frustration and have had it 2 months now. It has been flawless, easy to set up and simple to use. The remote always works. Period. I am telling everyone I know about it. Thank you Roku! PS I am an Apple fan and love all their products, just not Apple TV unfortunately.

Our headphone jack on our TV broke because of our kids. We like to use wireless headphones to watch TV at night with our Roku, but we couldn't with our broken jack and old Roku 1 player. However, with the Roku 3 there is a built in headphone jack, that bypasses the TV headphone jack. We simply plug our wireless headphones into the Roku remote, and it works wonderfully! Great job Roku team. This feature alone was worth every penny.........but the Angry Birds and gaming options were also a plus, and the Roku 3 definitely downloads Netflix faster than our old Roku 1. We highly recommend this Roku 3!
