I use the Roku 3 to stream my media library from Plex. It also gets streamed to my sister who lives 60 miles away and she has no problem accessing it on her Roku as well.
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Extremely Easy To Use
Cons: Needs Airplay Equivalent

Love the Roku, but.......

The ONLY thing that I do not like about the Roku is.. for whatever reason I have to re-set and pair my controller at least 3 times a week. when the headphones are plugged in the controller will suddenly stop working, in the beginning we were unable to watch tv at all untill my 9 yo found a remote app, so now when the controller does its thing, we grab the iPad :)
Pros: Fast Setup, Easily Hidden, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Sleek Design, Attractive Design
Cons: Control Pairing, Apps Montly Cost

Netflix is excellent. Roku is quite good for viewing movies. NHL TV gives a good picture without using a lot of bandwidth. Wonder why MLB TV hasn't made this improvement. Definitely buy several Rokus. Rokus are the future path for TV. Peter Guild, Quincy, MA.

freezes and has to be rebooted a lot!

I have a roku 2 on one tv and bought the roku 3 recently for a different tv. The roku 3 freezes up a lot and has to be unplugged and plugged back in and sometimes this doesn't even work. I am not happy with it and am thinking of buying an appletv
