I am a heavy apple product consumer, multiple iPads, iPhones , iMacs AppleTV .... You get the picture... Roku3 has performed flawlessly and does so much more than my AppleTV Excellent product. Buy without hesitation .

I bought the Roku to replace cable TV. It has exceeded my expectations in key ways. Setup was easy taking less than 10 minutes including signing up for Netflix and providing my Amazon Prime credentials. Those two services along provide a wealth of content. However, there are a wide variety of additional "channels" including PBS. The user interface is easy to navigate and includes slick features like textual content search that looks across all available channels. So, when I have to find that Barbi Princess thing my daughter craves, I can find it on Disney, on Amazon and usaually a couple other places. Net net, we get a lot of value and save $100-ish per month over confusing cable TV. Easy call.
Pros: Inexpensive, Easy Text Search, Wide Selection of Content, Easy setup, Easy Navigation
Cons: Have To Reboot Monthly

Slow to start HD

HD startup is slow. Even with a connection (15Mbps) that's much faster than needed for HD, the image stays in low-grade SD for a minute or more. I'd much rather it delay the start of the presentation until it can be made fully in HD.

Takes Some Getting Used To

1. It is harder to find successive episodes for series - they don't show up unless you quit out and start over. 2. It doesn't show the category drop down menu in netflix, which makes finding movies harder. 3. The controls could be laid out better so you can go back without accidentally hitting the button that drops you out of everything so you have to start over. 4. It has to be unplugged and rebooted on a regular basis.

Got an upgrade to use this on primary tv and moved roku 2 to second tv. Faster transition on navigation and smoother. Kids like games. Would buy again. I'm a roku fan.
