Great When It Works

The remote loses sync daily. This is a constant problem and the forum is full of people with the same issue. It's no secret but Roku has no answer except to reset the unit. I will have to return this unit if they can't get the issue solved in 30 days.
Pros: Great When It Works, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: First unit was defective, Must Reset Player Daily, Remote Loses Sycnch, Remote Loses Synch

Since this is my first Roku I can't say anything about the previous versions, but this unit has perfomed flawlessly and it has provided my family and I HOURS (too many really) of entertainment.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

The only way I watch TV

I've dropped my cable and use Roku and Netflix for all my TV veiwing. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 Star is because I had to reboot it twice since I have had the Roku 3.

I use my Roku to view Amazon Instant, Netflix, and video from my local Plex Media Server. Setup was quick and easy, though I recommend a wired network connection, especially if your WPA password is long and complex :-) The most awesome features are the headphone jack in the remote and the wireless control (works when using wireless network). Plug in headphones and watch action movies day or night without disturbing anyone else with the video's audio track.

I don't miss having cable

I love the roku so much that I cancelled my cable and ordered another one for the family room! It's easy to use, and the roku remote doubles as a game remote, which the kids love. My favorite part is using the ear buds on the remote so I can watch movies without disturbing my sleeping husband. The Roku 3 also provides a wide selection of channels for all interests! I only wish we could access the world wide web, and we would love a sports channel that shows real time games; we're willing to pay a monthly premium for it!
