For me, installation was tedious as I had to dissect and remove considerable legacy equipment. But, the cord tangle is now gone. It's possible that it might be easier to install and use, I just can't imagine how.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

I had Dish Network and they kept on raising my rate, so I ditched them for Roku. I only have 3mb internet at the moment, so I thought the Roku would skip, etc while streaming. To my pleasant surprise, I have had ZERO issues with the Roku - we use it almost exclusively now and it works amazingly well. My only complaint is the remote control. It would be nice if the remote had a few buttons you could program for the volume on your TV. It's not a big deal, just a nuisance.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Perfect Streaming

too expensive just to use netflix

I like the fact that is has free channels but they have stuff that you would not normally watch, so it only leaves you with crackle and netflix. which in my onpinion is not worth spending over $100 on. The subscriptions are too many and to expensive. realisticly if you subscribe to all the channels you like. you would pay as much or even more than cable tv a month! not for me!

I guess 'yes', it really was a gift - to myself. I'm very pleased with the audio headset jack. I don't hear as well as I used to, so now I can listen at my own level, even when the wife is asleep. Great feature. Great picture at HD too. I've got 4 Rokus, different models. Always keep a set of (2) AA batteries close at hand, 'cause when the batteries go down, watch out. The controller will go from 'something' to 'nothing' in a split second. You can't do anything (like pause or stop a movie) until you get fresh batteries installed. And none of the other controllers will work, either. It has buttons on the controller to play games, but I don't use that feature. I'm sure it works though. All-in-all, I'm glad I bought the Roku 3.

We watch movie and listen to Spotify. Everything works without a any hiccups. I especially like the 5.1 audio. I had the Western Digital first and there is NO comparison.......thank you for a GREAT product............
