Some minor bugs that occasionally require rebooting. Rebooting has always worked to fix problems, so this is a really minor annoyance.

Exceptionally easy and fast

We were using our Samsung Blu-Ray player to access Netflix but the menu system was so kludgy and the response time and upload time was so slow, even with an ethernet hookup, that my wife had me set it up for her when there was something she wanted to watch on Netflix. Occasionally there would be something on Amazon that we'd want to see and I'd hook up our computer via HDMI to watch that. Then we decided, after her cousin, who writes for a computer magazine, wrote a glowing review of the Roku 3, to spring for it. The situation immediately changed for the better. The Roku setup was very quick and easy. The remote couldn't be easier to operate and the upload times are much, much quicker than the Blu-Ray's. Also, there are so many more channels. We switch between channels in seconds and then breeze through the program selection menus in a fraction of the time of our old setup. I use the wireless headphone jack on the remote all the time when my wife would rather read or when accessing the Roku late at night. This tiny box is wonderful, a pleasure to use. My wife loves its ease of use and instantaneous response and, since the moment I installed the Roku 3, has never had a need to have me set it up for her.

it's great for netflix, amazon, hbogo, needs regular hulu, and showtime would be great, then I could give dish back two of the joeys.

The Little Box That Does

My wife and I have had a Roku LT for a year or so now and while we loved the simplicity and ease of use of the Roku interface and the wealth of available content, the lack of 1080p and the not-infrequent technical hiccups (IR issues with the remote, slow loading on certain apps) were kind of a bummer and the LT quickly became relegated to our bedroom TV. We bought the Roku 3 on the promise of 1080p visuals, a faster, more seamless interface and the ability to run the far-more reliable wired connection and after a month, I can say my expectations have been met and then some. The new box is lightning fast through menus and loading apps, the new remote is much improved and everything I love (from Netflix to HBO Go to my own media through Plex Media Server) looks gorgeous and runs smoothly. The headphone jack on the remote is an elegant solution to an age-old problem. The Roku 3 has become the new default way that content is consumed in our household. Keep up the good work!

I use my Roku 3 for listening to radio stations, Pandora, etc. I like to send the audio to my outdoor speakers via my home audio/video receiver. The absence of an analog output for audio means that I cannot send the audio through zone 2 of my system.

Pretty good, but can't play MTS files

1. Relocate the OK button to the center of the multi-directional plus button. It's only natural from a design standpoint. 2. Provide support using Roku Dropbox for Sony's MTS HD file system so I can share HD video files of my children to my parents.
