Good but not great...

Quick set-up. Doesn't take much space. Good speed. The Search feature and mute features (when you connect your headphones to remote) are really good and useful. I bought the box mostly for watching international channels on Dishworld. But it hangs (screen goes dark) after some time everytime when I am using Dishworld (particularly when you change the channel). I have to switch the box off (take the power cable) and switch on to get it back running, which is really annoying. I called Dishworld few times andtried few things, but nothing worked. Not sure, if its Roku issue or Dishworld. The other thing I don't like about the box is it doesn't switch off - its on stand by 24 hours unless when you use it or you take the power cable out. I would like to switch my equipment off when not in use. Finally, I would love it if it has YouTube on it. Otherwise, its a good utility box to have it.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls

Definitely the best Streaming Player!

I'm an Apple fan but since I bought my Roku3, I no longer use my AppleTV. Roku is way better, offers much more Channels and is easy to use. I have one device in the living room and one in my bedroom.
Pros: Dual-band Wireless, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Remote With Headphone Jac, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Motion Control For Games
Cons: Battery Eater, No Sleep Now Feature, No Sync Features, No Airplay Server

The Roku itself is very good. The only annoying thing is the remote control. It keeps loosing the signal. Everyday I have to reset it and unplug the power cable from the Roku so it can synchronized again. I giving it a try for two more weeks that is what I have left of warranty, it does not improved then I will be force to return it and by the Apple TV. I'm really disappointed with this remote.

Better faster but....

I like this version better than my other one. Menus are better and is faster. But the new version doesn't have an optical port for older receivers. I have HDMI but for video only I still need the optical for sound so I can't get 5.1 unless they put back the optical. My receiver is only 2-3 years old. I still use my roku thru my receiver just only 2 channel surround sound thru all my speakers. The only other issue I have had is that my roku was frozen at times and had to reboot it. But I found it actually could be the remote? Never had this problem on the other one. Other than that I like it so far. The roku box is smaller also.

I already had the Roku XD in the living room, then received the Roku 3 which I keep in the bedroom. I love the feature of using the headsets, as I can watch tv late at night (I am a nght owl) without disturbing neighbors. My absolute only complaint is that the remote seems to use batteries VERY quickly, have to change at least once a month even when using the kind of batteries that in my other devices lasts a really really long time.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design
Cons: Remote Battery Hog

Fantastic Streaming Player

I decided to downgrade my cable provider and save some money so I ordered the Roku 3. I use the Roku every night and absolutely love the remote that allows you to connect earphones. I am enjoying watching shows much more than before with this feature as I can hear every little nuance. And the selection of shows is pretty fantastic. I cannot see any downside to this product and would definitely recommend it.

I have 2 roku's I really like all the channels you can get, I have recommened these streaming boxes to everyone, I have two people that bought them.
