love this generation . the headphone in remote is a great feature . though its in a weird position on the side of the remote. would have prefered it in the bottom. the plex app with my synology nas and i'm in heaven. my only request is a official youtube app please. that would just be icing on the cake

Expanded menu selection makes it easier

I'm a news junkie and Roku helps me keep up to date. I have sorted domestic and international news channels into one large area for easy selection. The expanded amount of channels visible makes selection easy as child's play.

Love my Roku. I have had an older version for a while to watch Netflix while on the treadmill. I just bought the newest version because my internet TV kept having issues and I am so glad I did. So easy, inconspicuous, and reliable!

On our way to saving over $1000/year

Old bill = $160/mo. New bill = $45/mo. So after deciding that we were spending entirely too much on cable service we started to look at options available. Having GTV gave us quite a bit but it still depended primarily on passing through cable service. We decided to go the Roku route, canceled our cable and returned all hardware. The new setup consisted of our own Cable Modem + Router, Roku3, Cable Internet only plan on promotion and a MOHU Leaf antenna. Local broadcast OTA in HD is great, if we miss something then it is usually available via Hulu the next day. Having converted our kids library to digital we have a great streaming option from our Plex server. Easy to use and we laugh about how much we have saved just in the past few months since cutting the cord.

It's very convenient, easy to move around & reconnect to another TV. Has a tendency to lose Wifi signal after being idle for an extended period of time, prompting user to actually plug it off power & plug it in again. It's a minor but hopefully easily correctable problem by manufacturer, otherwise it's a neat little device to have around.
