Awesome becomes amazing

My original Roku was a 2 XD (which I still use), which I thought was an awesome little box. It had a ton of content, was really small, and really easy to use. The Roku 3 takes that awesome and turns it into amazing. It's just about the same size, still has a huge content lineup, and now brings even more features, like Private Listening, and some insanely fast speed. Just how fast is it? Well, someone at Roku has a pretty good sense of humor: there's elevator music when you turn the Roku 3 on. But it doesn't need it. It boots up two, if not three, times faster than the Roku 2. In a nutshell, it's the most powerful streaming device I've seen yet, yet it still has Roku's legendary simplicity.
Pros: Insanely Fast, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Private Listening Mode

Mostly netflix some difficulty with closed caption Very poor way to have to enter password and security code when it doesn't work the first time Liked the old hand remote the better Can't use the earplug for one listener and have other hear the sound on the tv

Roku 3 is the best streaming player yet

Pros: Everything for loading speed, searching for movies or tv shows that can be found anywhere on any Roku channel with one search button, fast search while playing a movie, excellent video and audio quality, no "drops" if you have a decent modem speed of at least 5mbps, an incredible variety of channels, including foreign language. Cons: Only a few European language channels.

Lovely little box

Out of the box set up was a breeze. Once plugged in and hooked up, it was easy to log in to the apps I chose to add and easy to surf and navigate through each channel. I don't know why I waited so long to cut the cord to cable and go with roku. Better late than never.

Great for Netflix!

There is no cable hookup in my room, so someone gave me a Roku to use for basic T.V. watching. I have loved it for watching Netflix, listening to my Pandora stations, and occasionally playing a game. Unfortunately, that's about all I use it for. There are plenty of apps, but no Youtube or Hulu (unless you have Hulu Plus). I was excited about the Facebook app, but it's only for viewing pictures. Overall, it's still a great alternative to paying big bucks for cable, but not a replacement for a device with regular web capabilities.
