I enjoy the Roku 3. I have not used any Roku before the 3 the i do find it very nice and very useful for myself, family, friends and so much more. Movies, music, pictures, videos and so on and the list just gets better and better...Over 700 something channels and getting bigger and better every day. Thanks to Roku and it's Developers

We replaced cable altogether and it is excellent and I save over $40 per month.

Needs a fix for the Fox News Channel. Some graffics are no showing up and there is a short pause between programs. The best part of it is no commecials

Between netflix and hulu plus, I get all my shows from major networks and the smaller ones. Multible movie rental apps like amazon and blockbuster. Instant HD! Other than the need for an NFL app, you can't go wrong with roku.

Cutting the cable cord

Bought Roku after looking at other systems, and Roku by far had the best reveiews. The search feature is fantastic. We've been able to find almost everything we usually watch on cable. It's unfortunate that AMC doesn't provide a channel, so no current Mad Men, Breaking Bad, or Walking Dead without paying a premium rental price. We also like So You Think You Can Dance on Fox, but you have to wait a month for that to air online, although finding clips on youtube is fairly easy. The headphone jack on the remote is fantastic. Can't believe nobody thought of that before. My wife and child go to bed early, and my younger years listening to loud music have left me a bit hard of hearing, so I can't crank up the volume at night. The smartphone app is ok, but not as easy to use as the remote since you have to look at the screen. Where it comes in handy is entering in text for searches - faster to type than click letters with the remote. Some of the most useful apps for getting hard to find content, or content off other devices, is Twonky Beam and Plex. But both are a bit clunky, don't always work well, and take a bit of tech knowledge and tweaking to get set up and troubleshoot. The roku app can stream wirelessly from phones. There are tons of channels available, but most of them are not that good... tons of church channels, and a lot of niche channels that have very specialized content you can find elsewhere. All in all, the device is amazing, and any complaints I have are minimal and no worse than complaints about Comcast. We have subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime and Pandora. And we're saving over $60 a month over cable tv and TiVo. Well done Roku!

I use it mostly for streaming Netflix and Amazon movies. I own several Rokus and an Apple TV, the Roku 3 is by far the best. The inclusion of the headphones that plug into the remote for private listening is very smart.
