Roku Rocks!

I bought a second Roku so I would have one in every room. The headphones jack in the remote is great, I can plug in headphones and hear very well and turn off speakers for others in the room. I hate commercials, I don't even DVR anymore. Instead if I'm in the mood to watch something I can find it instantly with no commercials on my Roku. I am a big Amazon Prime fan and highly recommend Amazon Prime.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Small Size, Headphones Jack In Remote

Just a great product. Easy to use. I wish all the content providers had "play all" option. I don't like having to play each individual video (WTHR is setup like this, a "Play All" would be better). This is not a "Roku" issue, but a content provider feature that should be added to all channels. Overall, the Roku 3 is a good product for those wanting to get rid of cable or DishTV.

Big Results in a Small Package

We use the Roku to access instasnt streaming movies and have found it to be "idiot proof" Neither my wife mor I are tech savvy but this thing works
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

The Best Streaming Device Thus Far

This little device has surely increased the pleasure in my viewing of streaming video. I have it hard-wired via the Ethernet port giving me almost instant response. The picture quality is superior to my Smart DVD that I had been using and the overall performance is far superior to the DVD. I do not like the design of the remote because the round bottom prevents me from pressing buttons when it is just sitting on the table because of the wobbling. I think an "off" switch would help as sometimes the system freezes, and I have to unplug the power to get it to reset. Even with these small negatives, I highly recommend Roku.

Cons: Power On All The Time, Poor Design Of Remote

My wife and I don't subscribe to any cable or satalite services. The Roku streaming player is the only thing we use anymore. the quality is fantastic and easier to navigate than anything else.

It's a good simple way to access online content but is prone to locking up and needing to be power cycled 1-2 times per week (based on about 4-5 hours usage per week).
Pros: Easy access to content, Small Footprint
Cons: Locks UP

Love the Roku. So much so, that I have 4 total in my house. Use them for anything from PBS kids shows, Netflix, Hulu Plus, specialty apps (cooking, fishing, etc), to streaming my own digital library. The only thing that could make it better would be a Formula One on-demand app for the current season. Besides Formula One races, I don't miss a thing about cable. The Roku paid for itself, and then some, after the first month of not having Cable. I constantly recommend getting a Roku to anyone looking for a better, and cheaper, alternative to traditional cable/satellite service.
