Needs Hbo go to work with DirectTv

I wish they would work out a deal that would allow Directv customers to use HBO Go on the Roku. Currently it is not available for Directv Customers.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: No Hbo Godirecttv

upgraded from Roku HD (It went to the bedroom tv) love fact that the remote does not have to be line of sight to use. Earbuds are a nice feature. I have a 3 meg Dsl service and it works fine -downloads fast- no setup issues. I have a tv antenna for local news and my roku for all else. Available content is tops

I bought this Roku 3 for my wife as it gives closed captions. Our older Roku did not allow closed captions. She likes it very much as we subscribe to a dozen or so channels and watch them regularly.

Great Upgrade

Last year I bought the Roku 2 XD because I didn't like the streaming experience on the Blue-Ray player I had. So I researched the Apple TV because I love Apple products and the Roku Player. The Roku player for me was the best buy. When the Roku 3 came out, I saw the positive reviews and knew from having the Roku 2 that I would like it. I have to say I don't just like it, I love it. The interface is is a huge step up. The ability to search for shows or movie across all the channels is a nice touch. The sound is amazing and with the improved Wi-Fi it feels like you are watching regular cable and not downloading a movie. I know the negative that people mention is that there is not a YouTube app. This is easily solved by downloading the Twonky App which allows you to beam YouTube videos from your tablet to the Roku box. I am extremely happy with the Roku 3 and think this is a great purchase and more cost effective than buying a Smart TV.

I made the purchase to help cut back on my cable bills. I have been able to drop my cable down to basic. The apps are great...wish i could get TWC in my area though. Bear Delaware

Needs YouTube. Would also be nice to have a direct link to the big networks and cspan.
