used at home, easy setup, slow to reconnect to netflix after watching one show or movie. have to return to "my channel" page and then select netflix and retrieve all selections to change movies or episodes.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

Need a web browser and keyboard to compete with Google TV. Also access to You Tube. I have slingbox500 and would like an app to use on roku.

My wife and I wanted something to play Netflix, Hulu, etc in our bedroom. We were originally using a PS3 but it was loud, bulky, and overkill. I decided to try out a Roku to see if it would fit our needs knowing I could simply return it if it didn't work like I wanted it to. Not only have we kept it, we are getting more to replace the PS3 etc for streaming. It's quick, has fantastic picture quality, is extremely energy efficient, and always ready at the touch of a button. Best streaming device ever!

I am a regular user of Netflix and Amazon Prime. HD Picture is not quite bluray quality but still excellent and fine form most HD fare. Sound is much improved. Love the clear sound from the remote attached ear buds (don't forget to set from surround to stereo when you use them or they don't work). The interface is simple and intuitive.

I use the DishWorld app the most on Roku, and it normally works great. After extended use, the picture keeps freezing, however. Overall, the Roku is best for home use, in my opinion. Movie selection is above average, but still could use some improvement. I would like to see more Surat-style Gujarati cooking instruction videos added to Roku as well, which would probably only be available through the addition of YouTube. The addition of an internet browser would be beneficial as well.

Cons: Gets Way Too Overheated, No youtube, No M2ts Support, Picture Keeps Freezing

Very easy to use interface. When first bought, I had to reset the unit every time I used it because it would freeze a lot. That problem seems to have been resolved by Roku. I have an amplifier with older RCA jacks, so I can't hook up the HDMI to my sound system. Over all nice unit.

Cons: No power button, No Rca Hookup, Frequent Resets, Unit Gets Warm, Need To Unplug To Reset

One can pick what he can use and afford. The only program that gives me a headache and I had to remove is Vudu due to problems with the new 7.1 audio. I use my BD player to get around this!
