Great Box! Bad Remote!!

The Roku 3 has great features and I love it!! The downfall is the Remote control will not stay connected and eats batteries like a pig when using the headphones, I expected more.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Great Box, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design
Cons: Remote Problems
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I This is my third Roku, been a believer for years. Would be great if could have internal storage to record but for the price, hard to beat. headphone jack in theremote for personal listening is nice addition!
Pros: Great Remote Easy Set Up
Cons: Occasional Freeze Up

I have plenty of viewing choices without cable TV channel hopping. It is much cheaper than cable. The memory card slot is still a mystery. Occasional restarts are required when loading slows.
Pros: Fast Setup, Plenty Of Viewing Choices, Simple Controls

I have a daughter with significant mental and physical disabilities, and cable tv service wasn't providing her with stimulating media options. With a quick setup, our daughter can now access the kind of content that makes her laugh, think, and learn. This little device has brought so much happiness to her day. Who needs the big media outlets when there are people out there who are providing great kids content? Roku gives our daughter a portal to access this content and the smiles on her face everyday tell us what a great decision we made.

I use the Roku 3 at home for my major TV entertainment beyond the local TV channels. Actually, I have been finding myself watching less and less local TV over the air since I got my roku. I am enjoying most of the shows and networks I loved when I had cable, like CNN. Some of my favorite channels are Vevo, Nowehere TV, Hulu Plus. The issues I have with Roku 3, and they may be beyond their control, is that you have to be a Hulu Plus subscriber to be able to watch any Hulu stuff on there. It will also be nice if HBO, Showtime, and AMC allowed online-only subscription, so u don't have to be tied to a cable/satellite subscription to be able to enjoy the content on Roku (it's only HBO Go for now). The fact that YouTube is not an available app is also very disappointing. Other than these things, I am very pleased with the product.

So much to view

I love how easy it is to add Netflix videos to view. Playing Angry Birds on our big screen is very entertaining. Then to wind down after a full day, it is fun to play a mostly mindless game of Poker. We should have purchased this product long ago. Even the price is affordable.

Everything is rad except for the remote

Everything is awesome, but the remote doesn't stay paired with the device and loses connection. The only way to pair it back up is to restart the device. This happens once every 2 days.

Roku will save you money if you like me , like to save money and be able to watch what ever movie you want at anytime that you want. I think it the best.
