Love my Roku 3

I especially like the fast response that the new processor provides. I love the headphone jack on the remote. I can watch videos or a movie without disturbing anyone. The variety of channels should satisfy anyone. My family uses our Roku 3 to watch movies, old TV shows, and music videos. I cannot imagine a better Internet and video streaming device on the market!

The Roku 3 is the best one yet

I have other streaming devices I can use (SMART TV, PS3)but the Roku 3 gives me more features with Netflix and Amazon that are awesome. The plethora of Apps available are incredible. I love being able to watch a movie that I have on a thumb drive but most of the time even after I convert it to a file that the Roku is supposed to be able to play it will not play. That I don't like.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Still Unable To Play All, Video Files Using Usb, Does Not Improve Audio/Video

Great for Kitchen and Spare Room

We have two Rokus - one for a guest room and one for the kitchen. Time Warner Cable's addition of their app means we no longer need additional cable boxes for more rooms. We've been using them for a few months without any problems. Love that we can get major providers - Netflix, Amazon, HBO GO, in any room now. Typically the quality is better than we get over cable. Some apps can be tedious to type information into with the small remote, but it hasn't been enough of a pain to investigate if I could hook up a Bluetooth keyboard for the initial setup. Beyond the major players, like Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc, most of the content channels are forgettable. I haven't found much outside of the major channels that's worth watching.
Pros: Fast Setup, Major Content Providers, Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: Needs Volume Options

Cool product

I love the concept. The setup was super easy. I don't love the remote device. It's a little clumsy to operate. The things that are great include 1) watching movies 2) being able to stream certain websites rather than having to watch them on my laptop. However, connecting to said websites is not an intuitive process and in fact can be a real pain. I'm reasonably computer savvy but very impatient so this is a definite negative for me. Second, when I connected to Roku there were links to all these "free" sites, which were not, in fact, free. They required a monthly subscription. So I feel like that is misleading and annoying because I would get very excited to stream something only to find out I had to pay for it. Overall, I'm glad I got it because it has a good price point. I look forward to it becoming more useful and expansive in the future.

Roku 3 player after 3 months

Roku 3 is great in most respects. Through this device I was able to get new TV channels I never had before or would have never thought about. I have added 50+ free TV channels which may soon kill my regular satellite TV subscription. Great box - Netflix works great, Crackle TV, Classics, etc. Through MyMedia PC connection for movies and music is great (this alone would sell the product) What it needs to improve in is 1 - it needs YOUTube badly (tried using DailyMotion but does not work too good - kicks me out) 2. Needs a power button to switch off when not used
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video

The video quality frequently changes from very good to very noisy. Also, the fact that you cannot shut the unit off is really terrible in this day and age of energy conservation. The instructions suggest it uses only a little power but that's just an excuse for saying the unit doesn't have the software ability to retain it's settings.

Cons: Can Not Be Shut Off, Video Quality Changes

Sometimes it just stops working and will say check your internet connection even though the connection is working fine.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Excellent Hd Picture, Fast Setup
Cons: No Reset Or Power Switch, Occassionally Locks Up
