I do like my Roku 3

I don't have a cable outlet in my room so Roku 3 has been a great addition to my "bedroom entertainment". Was using HDMI cables from my tablet and phone, but now I can do it all remotely with the Roku 3. Have the Roku 2 which I'm trying to setup on an old Panasonic. Not quite there yet, but I want to be able to share Roku offerings with my Dad. peace
Pros: Good selection of channel, Good channel selection, Easy setup, Fast Setup
Cons: Have not found one yet

Nothing bad to say about this box. I have tried other streaming devices and this is by far the best I have ever found. I have bought 5 Roku boxes now. I gave my old models to my kids as the newer ones came out. We all love the Roku. There are so many channels available through Roku. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys streaming. The Roku 3 does games as well. The ability to use headphones right from the remote is so cool. I love it!!
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

Excellent UX but low resolution

I have multiple streamers in my home. I'm evaluating the Roku 3 to replace all of my others throughout the house. It's a GREAT little box, easy to setup, and great UX. My problem is that it streams at a lower resolution from both Netflix and Amazon. When I stream the exact same movie on my 'other' box, it looks much better. I've read in multiple places online that the Roku is sometimes 'bandwidth limited', it's not clear if the device or the service is doing this. I just can't find a workaround (after doing some searching around) and find this rather disappointing. I *do* hope there is a way to turn on higher resolution, I expect there is, I just haven't been able to find it.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use Roku as a training tool for viewing documentaries for discussion. Easy to install from one television to another with an HDMI connection. The compact unit makes it great for transporting and using it anywhere there is a wifi connection. Although I have a smart TV at home, I am able to use it in my home office/guest room, the fast response of the unit is a plus. The simple to use interactive remote is great for the grandkids when they visit, from my understanding, Angry birds rock.
Pros: Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

I use it and my laptop for my only form of "television". I don't want to pay the cable company and Centurylink doesn't have PRISM in my area yet. I use it for HULU, Netflix, and other video's. It's a small compact design and easy to set up.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

Outstanding performance !

For performance and security reasons, I prefer to run a hard-wired Ethernet network, and the Roku 3 performance is outstanding in that environment. Menus load in a fraction of a second, and movies load 5 to 10 times faster than the other entertainment devices on my network (BlueRay and Smart TV). No need for any other box, Roku 3 does it all. The placement of the volume controls is a minor issue, as I sometime hit them accidentally.
