Breaks the chains of Cable

The Roku 3 was bought to take the place of cable channels that offer movies and ect. We now save almost the price of the unit each month, even with a subscription to a movie provider. I just wish there was a way to get my local stations over the unit, then it would be the perfect replacement.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design

Purchased the Roku 3 to replace the Roku 2. The 3 dropped signals constantly. Removed it and reinstalled the 2 and no problem. Otherwise love the Roku system for streaming.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

Some good channels, but mostly use for plex - mostly fantastic, but control often glitches - can take up to 10 seconds to register clicks. Also, streaming. Is glitchy with plex compared to plex on an iPad. On the same wifi network.

I use it in a room without my Tivo, and most often while exercising. It's my only way to watch my Amazon Prime videos. I like the home screens, how you don't have to scroll back up to start a list over from the beginning. I don't like the remote. It's too small and lightweight, which sounds like a plus, but it's hard to find and grab hold of for me. I wish the back button was the left arrow button, like on Tivo.

GREAT Streaming Box

Use the product while home and traveling. Love the ease of use. One negative I have found is it is easy to drain the batteries in the remote if it is packed in your bag and a button is depressed. The fact that the buttons are so easy to press is a plus and minus in some instances. So far I am loving the product and am eagerly awaiting the launch of the Redbox Instant streaming channel. I like the search function that finds my programs on several different channels and lets me decide which channel to watch.

This is the best media streaming device I have ever used. So simple and fast. A bigger improvement o er the first generation Roku too.

I love to Roku 3 for the most part. It's easy to use and very dependable. I would like to however be able to delete recently watched programs from the lineup. I wish it had a "Just for kids" area so when my grandchildren are over They can access that and Roku won't think I want to watch all these kid programs after they go home.
