Nice device but some flaws

The product idea is great, looks good and if left untouched works well. However if channels are changed quickly it hangs. Have to completely power off and on to get it back to working state. This happens at least twice during 3-4 hours of play.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Hangs Very Often Even

Just what we were looking for

Got tired of paying hefty cable bills for channels we never watch. While the Roku is a bit more limited in its offerings than cable, there is plenty of programming to choose from. I think the media world will eventually catch up and improve their Roku programming. As it is, it is a user-friendly device with decent program choices that will save you a bundle on your cable bill. We're happy we switched.

I use my Roku for watching MLB, TV shows and movies. The sports look great! I was actually stunned at how great the HD looked when I first saw it. I also use it for my Netflix and Hulu viewing. I highly recommend the Roku 3!

The Roku 3 is very easy to use and set up. The streaming on this is faster then the game consoles we have. For the price of the system and the services it can tap , you can't go wrong. Add YouTube and the Roku would be even stronger.

We loved changing from cable to streaming. The bummer about this product is it freezes up, won't turn on, says its not connected even when it is on occasion, etc. BUT WE STILL LOVE HAVING IT. I would say we have issues with it a couple times a week, but we just reset it or unplug it for a few seconds. It's not a big deal, just an annoyance. We would rather have it then not though. We got ours as a gift so I can't complain to much. If I had paid for it, I would be more irritated about the glitches.

Easy, even for me

I put this in my bedroom so that I can watch Netflix without having to be on guard all the time, as watching from my tablet often resulted in my tablet landing in the floor when I would get tangled up in the earphone wire. No more! I love that the remote has a wrist lanyard and an earphone jack. If I start to fall asleep, I don't have to do a full bed search for the remote to shut it off..it's right at my fingertips. It is super easy to set up and to use. I'm going to put one in my living room to replace the Wii access to Netflix too, as the Roku remote isn't jumpy like a Wii remote and you don't have to try to aim it to just the right spot to get it to work. One other thing..the Roku 3 is inconspicuous and small; a nice feature.
