Should have separate audio out

All hdtvs change hdmi connected components audio to 2 channel stereo, at the audio out on the tv, even if its an optical toslink. So if you dont use a receiver, and just a soundbar like me, you dont get good surround sound. Should have at least provided a separate digital out like the older models.

Better, but not great

The weight is just right to help it from sliding off from the cord pulling on it. The size is perfect and the speed of loading 'apps' is on par with the best other brands have to offer. My only two issue, and it's one is a big issue, is my wifi seems to lose connection every few days. I have other devices that are just fine, but I have to go into the connections area and reconnect the wifi. Only takes a second but it is very, very annoying. The other issue is with Netflix. When watching an something for the first time in a few days and the video is finished, you are taken back to the menu screen for that series. When I attempt to select another episode in the series, nothing appears. Just the previous episodes I have watched. In order to see additional episodes I must first exit the Netflix app and then go back in. Then I can select the series and see all available episodes. My other devices do not have these issues.
Pros: Small, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Just Enough Weight, Attractive Design
Cons: Can't Completely Turn Off, Netflix Menu Does Not Res, Wifi Drops Out, Not Enough Updates

Great streaming device!

We purchased for streaming movies. Found out there are a multitude of other options. Great purchase would definitely do it again.
Pros: Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Doesn't get any better, Fast Setup
Cons: No Cons In My Opinion

Dumped Cable TV, Love the Roku 3!

Purchased this for my husband, as our greatest conflict in life was him watching TV with it too loud. I am not a TV watcher at all. He watches TV now with the Roku and uses Bose headphones, plugged into the jack in the remote!!! WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL. Just love the Roku. We are both happy campers.

Overall, the Roku 3 I have is incredible. It does ALMOST everything a person could want. If an official Youtube channel gets added, you will have it all. The innovation of the headphones in the remote is pure, inspired genius.
